Why did I choose the 90’s? 1.I chose the 90’s because I had already known some cool things that happened during the 90’s and I thought they were cool.

1990 1. Hubble telescope was put into space. 2.Hubble is a telescope that orbits the Earth. 3.The Hubble telescope weighs 24,500 pounds. 4. The Hubble telescope is 133 meters long.

Continued… 1990 Continued… 1.The Hubble telescope has helped us find out a lot of information, such as how old the universe is, the identity of quasars, the existence of dark energy and many more. 2.Hubble telescope has made over 930,000 observations and has taken over 570,000 images of over 30,000 celestial objects.

1991 1.On September 19, 1991 a man was found frozen in a glacier. 2.Two German tourists were hiking in the Otzal Alps when they found the body sticking out of a glacier. 3.The ice man was named Otzi. 4.Otzi was about 5’3, weighed 60 pounds and died when he was about 46.

1991 continued…. 1.When Otzi the iceman was found he was wearing a cap, upper garments, leggings a loincloth, shoes and a cloak. 2.Otzi’s upper garments were made of several pieces of deer hide sewn together. 3.Otzi’s leggings and cap were made of several pieces of fur sewn together, his shoes and loincloth both were made out of leather.

1992 1.On April 23, 1992 at about 11:30 am a plane crash landed in Perris California. 2.The incident killed 16 people. 3.The incident injured 6.

1992 Continued… 1. Investigators found that most survivors of the crash were toward the rear portion of the plane.

1993 1.On February 26, 1993 the World Trade Center was bombed. 2.The bombing happened at 12:18 am. 3.The bombing killed 6 people, and injured 1,042.

1993 Continued… 1.The bombing left a HUGE 60 foot wide crater in the ground, which caused several steel reinforced concrete floors to cave in. 2.On March 4, 1994 a jury found a group of Islamic terrorists guilty.

PICTURESS :D 1.This is a picture of the under ground parking garage in the World Trade Center that was completely ruined from the bomb. 2.This is another picture of the huge amount of damage that the bomb caused.

1994 1.In the year 1994 the Rwanda Genocide started. 2.The genocide started at 8:30 pm on April 6 th, 1994 800,000 people were killed. 3.In this genocide people were slaughtered and brutally and systematically raped.

1994 Continued… 1.An estimated 7 million people were involved in the genocide, but only about 200,000 of them participated to help murder in the genocide. 2.The genocide lasted 100 days.

1995 1.On April 9 th, 1995 at 9:02 am Oklahoma City was bombed. 2.The bombing injured over 800 people. 3.168 people died.

1995 Continued… 1.19 of the 168 people killed were children under five years old. 2.Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nicholas were found guilty on two counts of murder and conspiracy on June 2, 1996.

1996 1.On June 6 th, 1996 Princess Diana and Charles, Prince of Wales announced their divorce. 2.The princess will receive a limp-sum payment instead of regular alimony checks; princess Diana received about 22.5 million dollars in cash.

1996 Continued… 1.Both Charles and Diana have equal access to their two children, Prince William (14) and Princes Henry (11)

1997 1.On August 31, 1997 Princess Diana was killed in a car wreck. 2. Princess Diana died at age 36. 3.Along with Princess Diana, her boyfriend, chauffer, and body guard were involved in the incident.

1997 Continued… 1.Investigators came to the conclusion that the incident was caused because the chauffer who was driving the car was drunk and lost control of the vehicle. 2.Princess Diana’s body guard was the only person who survived the incident.

1998 1.In the year 1998, a gay college student from the University of Wyoming was fatally beaten. The incident happened on October 7, 1998 shortly after midnight. 2.The two people who were charged for this crime are, Aaron McKinney and Russell Henderson. 3.The two men tied Matthew Sheppard to a split-rail fence and severally assaulted him, the two men left Sheppard to die in the cold.

1998 Continued… 1.Matthew Sheppard died on October 12, 1998 at 12:53 am in the Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins. 2.Matthew Sheppard’s killers where both sentenced with double life in prison with no parole. 3.The whole incident simply happened because Matthew Sheppard was gay.

1999 1.On April 20 th, 1999 the Columbine High School Killing spree took place. 2.The crime was committed by two boys, Dylan Klebold,(17) and Eric Harris, (18). 3.The boys came in the school carrying several Co2 bombs, one semi automatic 9mm handgun, a 9mm carbine riffle, a sawed off 12 gauged shotgun, a sawed off 12 gauged pump shotgun, and two bags filled with bombs.

1999 Continued… 1.In this incident twelve students were injured and one teacher was killed. 2.The shooting spree was the first student shooting on a U.S. campus. 3.Both Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris shot and killed themselves after they committed the crime.
