5 How “Do What’s Right” Works Individual submits a tip Davenport Police receives tip in office that is staffed 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. Supervisor reviews tip, assesses threat and submits to next level supervisor. Shift Commander completes assessment. Makes decision to have emergency response, call in detectives to investigate further or assign for follow up. Level of threat determines if a phone call, text message and/or e- mail is disseminated to an identified group of employees. Threat assessment may involve communication and partnerships with mental health professionals.

10 Election Process and Early Voting St. Ambrose is committed to supporting election participation. We do not endorse specific candidates We are again partnering with the Scott County Auditors office to host voter registration and early voting dates on campus: ▫Any Scott County resident may register and vote early ▫Location will again be the Rogalski Center ▫Dates and times are:  October 17-20 from 12 Noon – 6:00 p.m.  October 24-27 from 12 Noon – 6:00 p.m.  October 31 – November 3 from 12 Noon – 6:00 p.m. You may register to vote and vote then or on election day

11 Homecoming Dedications Frank and Dorothy "Jane" Folwell Center for Political Science, Pre- Law and Leadership Studies ▫Located at the center of campus in a refurbished house [2021 Scott] ▫Key fixture: Rand Wonio Conference Room ▫Includes faculty offices, computers, and space for class meetings St. Vincent’s Center – Phase I ▫Finished project included:  Game soccer and Lacrosse field [North End]  Practice soccer, lacrosse and football field [South End]  Game Softball field  Spectator parking, concession stand, and restrooms

12 Wellness and Recreation Center Construction is well under way May be some disruptions on Lombard Street: ▫October 17, 26, and 28 ▫100 foot beams being delivered by truck ▫4-5 trucks per day, staged in intervals ▫Pilot cars and flaggers will help process Construction process is currently on schedule Anticipated opening remains Fall 2017

13 New Program Offerings Academic Programs: ▫Early Care Learning Certificate ▫Master of Public Health ▫Both primarily delivered in an on-line format St. Ambrose Marching Band ▫Under the direction of Megan Cooney ▫Debuted in recent parades and SVC dedication ▫Anticipate growing to 100+ participants New Athletic Teams in Fall 2017 ▫Men’s and Women’s Swimming [Central HS] ▫Women’s Lacrosse [SVC game field]

15 Fall Parking Availability Managing lot usage to accommodate demand: ▫Zone 1 – 625# spaces [R 1.1] = 651 permits sold ▫Zone 2 – 552 spaces [R 1.1] = 580 permits sold ▫Zone 3* – 98 spaces [R 1.0] = 25 issued [free] #42 spaces retained for construction clearance *Shuttle runs as requested from Zone 3  Lot surveys conducted the week of September 19  Use of public transportation remains high, with over 12,000 rides annually  Continue Zone 2 and Rogalski Faculty/Staff lots available for parking from 3 p.m. – 7 a.m.

17 Parking Oversight Require all students to register vehicles so City can look up vehicles of concern Communicate with students to use our lots Monitor on-street parking and encourage student use of University lots [academic program contacts] Report illegal parking on streets to City Work closely with the city to address issues Please call the City and University with concerns Findings in concern areas include student occupants and occupant approved permission to park Working to address volume and site lines at alleys
