AES Board Regional Representative SA Chapter Regional Committee Secretary Workshop/ Seminar Coordinator

Regional Representative Key Responsibilities To participate in the management of the regional group by: –Being the conduit of information between the AES Board and Secretariat in Canberra (Judy Pearce) and the SA Regional Group and Regional AES members; –Monitoring Regional membership; –Schedule and Chair regional meetings with the Regional Executive and other interested parties; –Ensuring that a local program of networking activities such as seminars and workshops is offered annually; –Presenting proposals to AES Board for professional development workshops or special projects in SA; and –Within the AES SA Regional budget, authorise out-of-pocket expenses of working group members (eg: for seminars or workshops) and collect GST inclusive receipts for reimbursement from Secretariat. –Welcoming new members by telephone (as notified by Secretariat); –Make telephone contact with non-financial members if necessary; –Maintain a regional membership database. Participate in the work of the Board by: –Attending the AES Board meeting after the annual Conference, or arranging a proxy if unable to attend (the cost of attending the conference will be met of the RR or proxy); –attending the AES Board teleconference meetings three times a year; –prepare a regional report for the AES annual report which is prepared for AGM at the Conference; and –To advise the Board of the needs and opportunities of the AES and its members in the Region.

Regional Secretary Key Responsibilities Provide assistance to the Regional Committee by: Notify dates, times and arrangements for Regional Committee meetings; Coordinate preparation of agenda and papers for Regional Committee meetings; Circulate agenda and papers at least one week prior to Regional Committee meetings; Prepare and circulate minutes of meetings; Recruit new members and answer inquiries about AES and evaluation as necessary; Acting for the Regional Representative when required; and Liaise with Secretariat to ensure SA webpage on AES website is kept up to date with current committee, meeting notices etc (material sent to AES Secretariat for website www.aes.asn.au ) www.aes.asn.au

Regional Workshop/Seminar Coordinator Key Responsibilities Identifying the professional development needs within the region and coordinating delivery of appropriate workshops and seminars by: Liaising with AES regional members, and other interested parties, to establish appropriate topics for workshops and seminars; Establishing a schedule of workshops and seminars to enhance and develop the skills and knowledge of evaluators; Submitting the proposed annual schedule of professional development activities to the Regional Group for approval; Submitting proposals to the Regional Representative for any Workshops that will need to be approved by the AES Board; and Work with program organisers to make necessary arrangements for the approved regional schedule of workshops and seminars to be presented.
