2  Ethics tackles some of the fundamental questions of human life.  Ethics is a branch of philosophy that covers a whole family of things that have a real importance in everyday life. ◦ How should people live? ◦ What should people do in particular situations?

3  The abortion debate asks whether it can be morally right to terminate a pregnancy before normal childbirth

4  Rational argument about the right and wrong way to treat animals is made difficult by the love that many people feel for animals
