We are a job share! Mrs. McCormick will join the class Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesdays. Mrs. Klimas will join the class Thursdays and Fridays. We are committed to making this a wonderful school year for your student. We will consistently communicate with families. Our preferred method of communication is an e-mail to both teachers. All communication shared with one teacher WILL be shared with the other teacher. We will be using the Remind App for classroom communication. Please limit Remind communication to classroom events. Please follow us on Instagram @RichlandRoom3 If you have any additional questions we would love to answer them following the presentation.

Please do NOT bring in any food items for classroom distribution. We will NOT be able to distribute food items to students. We welcome your ideas for non-food celebrations and would love to brainstorm ideas with you. Field Trips Parent chaperones are always welcome, and when space is limited, they will be selected on a first come, first served basis. Our trips this year may include: Mission Hills High School Pool Classroom Celebrations All of the second grade classrooms are allergy aware environments. In an effort to keep our classrooms as food free as possible, none of our classroom celebrations will have food (Winter Party, Valentine’s Day, End of the School Year). If you have any additional concerns about this, please feel free to contact us.

School Supplies: Individual Supplies Your child received a supply list on the first day of school. Another copy of this list can be found on our website (richlandelementary.org Classrooms McCormick/Klimas) Classroom Supplies As you may have heard, California schools are on an increasingly tight budget. Please do not feel obligated to donate anything, but know that any donations that can be made are greatly appreciated. There are post-its with specific needs. Classroom Communication: Class Newsletter We will update our classroom website with current information and our classroom newsletter. Due to limited paper and copies, if it is possible for you to retrieve the newsletter from the website, we would appreciate you doing so. However, it is also possible for us to send home a paper copy of the newsletter on an as needed basis.
