Letter to reader. In the pieces of writing I have after this page are some examples of the memories I have had. Some of the other things I wrote about were topics I thought were interesting and connected to some way. Other topics were just stuff I like to do or just thought it would be good to write about. In my topic “A Trip to Remember”, that was one of the memories I had with basketball. It was the first time our basketball team got 3 rd in nationals. It also was a topic I liked and could write about because I have been doing basketball since 2 nd grade. In my book summary, I had a connection with that book. The connection I had with the book was that sometimes there is one friend who tries to control what everyone is going to do but the friends don’t let her, I have a friend that tries to control what people do. Also in my “Unfairness of Life”, I thought that would be a good topic to talk about because it is true because life isn’t always fair, but it can’t be all the time to everyone. In my one about my sister Madi, the reason I wrote this one was because I am closest to her out of all of my sisters. I have a bunch of connections with her and I could write about her all day because I know everything about her. Sincerely,

A Trip to Remember The buzzer rang and I knew it was time to start the game. My basketball team and I made it to the semi-finals and this was the first time my basketball team and I got to the semi-finals for nationals. This was Two years ago when we were in the AAU nationals for a basketball tournament. It was in Hampton, Virginia. We were playing this team we played before but at-first when we played them it was in the very-beginning of the season. They weren’t that good the first time we played we played them we didn’t play that good, we ended losing by 1 them; they got more players that were better. There whole team was better when we played them the second time in nationals. Most of the people on our team were tired because we played a really good team that morning. It was okay that we lost, but I thought it would’ve been better if we won. Since we got 3rd in the nation, we got nice jackets, medals, and a gigantic trophy as big as a boulder. Our coach Lynzee got to keep the trophy that we won. The next year everyone on our team got to have the trophy at their house then pass it on to the next person who hasn’t had it. We all got to take pictures with the huge trophy so we would remember the tournament. Before we took pictures with the trophy everyone on our team signed their name on the trophy. This was the first year our team got to actually get a trophy, the year before we got medals but they weren’t as big as the ones we got two years ago. Every year for AAU basketball, my basketball team and I go to a different state and we play in a national basketball tournament. For our basketball tournament if you win one year or get second place you have to go to the first division for the next year in the tournament. There are better teams in the first division than the second division. We have always played in the second division. This year our team would have had to go to the first division but we got third in nation.

Unfairness of life Life can’t be fair all the time, but lately it hasn’t been fair to a bunch of people everywhere. However, you can’t always get everything the way you want it to be. Even though life is fair sometimes, I think life isn’t fair all the time because you can’t control everything that happens to you all the time and it might be bad or good. Life isn’t fair - Some of the 99% seem to believe life has treated them unfairly, and some of the 1% percent feel life hasn’t treated them fairly enough. It supports it because it is showing that most people think life isn’t fair always, because you can’t control what happens. Another example that shows that life is fair isn’t... - If a teacher tells you the day before you have a huge test and you only have a day to study. This example supports that life isn’t fair it because it’s not fair if a teacher does that to you because you might get a bad grade and you could’ve done better if you had more time to study. Even though life is fair, I think life isn’t fair sometimes because you don’t get everything you want. -In life there are two certainties: You’ll never get everything you want and you’ll never want everything you get. It supports it because it is talking about not being able to get everything you want and it saying you won’t want everything you get because it could not be something you like or didn’t want. Another example that shows that you don’t get everything… - An example is a girl wanted to get an iPod but her dad didn’t have enough money to get it. It supports it because some people don’t have a lot of money to get expensive toys or electronics and you just won’t get everything you want. The most important argument I think is life isn’t fair because some people think life is fair and some don’t. - This is a really good argument because rich people’s life is fair because they get whatever they want and people not so rich don’t get whatever they want. - It supports it because it is explaining why some people think life is fair and some don’t. Another example that shows that if some people think it’s fair and some don’t is... - Some people think its fair because they have enough money to fix whatever they want and a lot of people don’t have a lot of money. - It supports it because that is why most people think life is easy because they are rich and can do whatever. So you can see that although life is fair, I think life isn’t fair sometimes for two main reasons. First, getting not to do everything. But most importantly, if some people think it’s fair and some don’t. - Just remember you can always think that some people don’t have a home and there life is way worse than yours even though yours might be bad. - So what you should do is to be fair to people and life might be fair to you.

Madi Madi Hofacker is my sister. I have learned how to play basketball and soccer by her. She taught me how to play both of those sports because she is really good at them. I have gone to her games to watch her play. When she plays her long blonde hair whips back and forth down the field and on the court. Her eyes are as blue as the sky. She has a baked golden tan color of skin from the summer heat. She plays for the varsity team for basketball and soccer. She is only a sophomore in high school! She is good at sports because she is not out of shape and she practices a lot! If you would see her and start talking to her she would be nice to you! She is nice to everyone and is VERY funny. If you would talk to her about something I guarantee she will make you laugh because of something she said or did! She is always smiling and she has the brightest smile ever! She is very smart too! She is in advanced classes at her school. If you see her she is usually wearing jeans and some different shirt always! She will usually wear a V-neck, plain shirt, or a shirt with a design. Her clothes usually always matching.
