2. Harry Potter Harry was delivered to his Aunt Petunia, Uncle Vernon and cousin Dudley when he was just one year old after surviving the killing curse, (Avada Kedavra) released by Lord Voldemort. The curse backfired leaving Harry untouched except for the lightning-shaped scar upon his forehead. Harry was kept in a tiny shoe cupboard until he had many letters, which drove Uncle Vernon mad, revealing to him for the first time that he was a wizard. However, he didn’t receive this message until Hagrid broke into their new house.

3. Lily & James Potter Lily and James were Harry’s parents. They were killed by Voldemort when trying to save Harry. Harry came across their grave in Godrics Hollow and saw their faces in the Mirror of Erased. He also met them when he used the Resurrection Stone.

4. Lord Voldemort Most wizards and witches fear the name so he was referred to You-Know-Who/He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. He has many servants called Death Eaters and there was a massive break out in the prison Azkaban. To the Death Eaters he is known as The Dark Lord. Voldemort had seven Horcruxes and it was Harry’s mission to destroy them before he destroyed Voldemort himself. Voldemort and Harry’s wands were made out of a phoenix feather and from the same phoenix too until Albus Dumbledore died and Voldemort stole his wand-the Elder Wand. He also had a snake called Nagini. (Tom Riddle)

5. Ron Weasley & Family Molly & Arthur Bill Charlie PercyFred & George Ginny Ron was Harry’s best friend from the beginning and they stuck together until the end. Ron had five brothers and one sister. The family was very poor and Arthur had to work extremely hard at the Ministry of Magic. Ron was quite a greedy boy and not very good in any classes in Hogwarts (a school of witchcraft and wizardry) especially in the second book/film when his wand snapped while they were being attacked by the Whomping Willow.

6. Hermione Granger Hermione was also Harry’s best friend. However, she was very bossy and was the best at everything in nearly every class. Hermione was raised by muggles, which is what some people call mudbloods. She was very loyal to her friends and family. She even casted a spell that would make her own mum and dad forget her just to protect them from Voldemort because she’d been helping Harry and he would probably torture them until they told him where she was. She and Ron were married in the end and it turned out they liked each other the whole way through their adventures.

7. Rubeus Hagrid Rubeus Hagrid was a gentle half-giant gamekeeper at Hogwarts. He was accused of opening The Chamber of Secrets and everybody thought his spider, Aragog was the monster. However, after they found out he was innocent, he became the Care of Magical Creatures teacher. Hagrid loved keeping monsters as pets and he had many of them, such as: Fang, his pet dog, Fluffy, a three-headed dog that he lent to Dumbledore to guard the Philosopher’s Stone and Buckbeak, a Hippogriff.

8. Albus Dumbledore Dumbledore was the headmaster of Hogwarts until Harry’s sixth year when Professor Severus Snape killed him. He always liked to keep calm and hide things that made him uncomfortable. Dumbledore’s wand was called The Elder Wand. It was the most powerful wand in the wizarding world. In the end, Dumbledore’s wand belonged to Harry but he didn’t want it.

9. Sirius Black Until Harry’s third year at Hogwarts, he did not know he had a godfather. When he first found out, he thought Sirius was a wanted murderer and that he had broken out of the wizard prison, Azkaban. Sirius was what wizards and witches called an Animagus, which is when you can turn into an animal. Sirius’s Animagus was a black dog and others thought it was called a Grim. Sirius lived in Number Twelve Grimauld Place and it was used for the Order of The Phoenix. Sirius was killed in Harry’s fifth year at Hogwarts by Bellatrix Lestrange and Harry was devastated because Sirius was the only family he had left. Although he had only known him for a short time, Harry loved him. Harry and Hermione rescued Sirius when he was about to receive a Dementor’s Kiss and Buckbeak (Hagrid’s Hippogriff) was about to be executed. They gave Buckbeak to Sirius to fly off with and go into hiding. Sirius was best friends with Harry’s dad when they went to Hogwarts.

10. Minerva McGonagall Minerva McGonagall was the Head of House of Gryffindor so she was known as Professor McGonagall. She was wise and a little bit strict; however, she was also kind and abrupt. She taught Transfiguration (that is where you turn on thing into another) and was one of the leading teachers in the fight against Voldemort.

11. Severus Snape Snape was a cunning teacher and Head of House of Slytherin at Hogwarts. He was thought to be a Death Eater for Voldemort; however, Harry found out in Snape’s memories that he was a spy for Dumbledore. He only killed Dumbledore because he surprisingly asked him to. It was all part of Dumbledore’s plan. As you can see in the picture in the centre, Voldemort killed Snape towards the end because he thought the Elder Wand would truly belong to him. Snape’s life was quite confusing really. Snape was hated by every student except most Slytherins. He was cruel to all the students he disliked in his lessons. Snape love Harry’s mum but despised his dad. He also hated Harry. Snape taught Potions until he became the Defence Against The Dark Arts teacher in Harry’s sixth year.

12. Neville Longbottom Neville was also a friend of Harry’s. he was quite clumsy and feared a lot of things. Furthermore, he was teased because he had strange teeth and a strange name. However, by the end of his last year, during the battle of Hogwarts, he became one of the bravest students in the school. When he was a baby, his parents were tortured by Bellatrix Lestrange on Voldemort’s orders; therefore, he lived with his grandmother ever since. Every student at Hogwarts had to have a pet and he chose a toad and it was called Trever. He was always losing him!

13. Bellatrix Lestrange She was a true murderer. An extremely gifted witch and Voldemort’s most loyal servant. She killed many of the good. Bellatrix spent a while in Azkaban and escaped when Voldemort had returned. She admired Voldemort the most. If she was in battle with somebody, she always won. Except once. She was fighting some of Harry’s friends, including Ginny. That made Molly Weasley ballistic. She took over and finally beat her. Then Voldemort was extremely angry. She was always his favourite.

14. Defence Against The Dark Arts Teachers Nobody has had this job at Hogwarts for more than a year ever since Voldemort didn’t get it. They either died or were fired. These pictures are in order of the years. The names of these teachers are Professors Quirrell, Lockhart, Lupin, Moody, Umbridge, Snape and Carrow. Harry was the best student at this subject.

15. Draco Malfoy Draco was a nasty bully in Harry’s year and he stuck around with his mates, Crabbe and Goyle. He always went on about his father, Lucius Malfoy. Whenever he was in trouble, he would always say, ‘Wait till my father hears about this.’ he was a bit of a show off and he was working with Voldemort and his Death Eaters. Furthermore, his parents were Death Eaters. In their first year Harry became the Seeker for Gryffindor in the game, Quiddich. Malfoy became Seeker for Slytherin in their second year.

16. Dementors Dementors were ghost-like creatures that suck the happiness out of people. They particularly affected Harry and Sirius because they had some dreadful events in their pasts. Whenever a Dementor attacked Harry, he heard his mum screaming, ‘No! Not Harry! Take me instead!’ However, Professor Lupin managed to teach Harry how to create a Patronus. A Patronus is a silver animal that stops Dementors attacking you. Harry’s Patronus was a silver stag (the same as his dad’s). It was said that to have a Dementor’s Kiss is worse than dying. It takes your soul out of your body.

17. Remus Lupin & Nymphadora Tonks Remus was the Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher in Harry’s third year. He did not continue because he was half werewolf. He married Nymphadora but regretted it, not because he didn’t love her, but because he believed she deserved a whole man. Towards the end of the series, they had a baby called Ted; however, they never knew him properly because they both died during the battle of Hogwarts. Remus was one of Harry’s dad’s best friends.

18. Dobby & Kreacher Dobby was a loving, clumsy house-elf who admired Harry. He worked for the Malfoys until Harry tricked them into giving him a sock, which set him free. He worked at Hogwarts ever since. He was stabbed by Bellatrix Lestrange trying to save Harry and his friends. Harry buried him without magic and wrote on his grave, ‘Here lies Dobby. A free elf.’ There was another house-elf called Kreacher, as you can see in two of the pictures. He became nicer in the end. He was very insulting when Harry first met him.

19. Luna Lovegood Luna was also one of Harry’s best friends. She was kind but was bullied. Other students gave her names like Loony Lovegood. Her father (Xenophilius Lovegood) owned a magazine called The Quibbler. She and her dad liked to collect magical objects. She was a large help in helping Harry in the battle of Hogwarts.

20. In the end, Harry succeeded in his mission to destroy all the Horcruxes and he discovered that there was one inside himself. He and Voldemort had a final battle. Harry sent a spell called expelliamus, which disarms your opponent, and Voldemort sent the Avada Kedavra curse. Voldemort’s curse backfired; therefore, Harry had defeated him for the last time. 19 years later. Harry was married to Ginny, Ron was married to Hermione and Neville was the Herbology teacher at Hogwarts. Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny are sending their children to Hogwarts in those two pictures. They also saw Draco Malfoy doing the same!
