9. You must memorize the forms of ir because it is an irregular verb and it follows no pattern.

10. Ir + a + article + place Shows destination: ¿Vas a la escuela? Are you going to school? Voy al cine. I am going to the movies.

11. We also use a form of Ir+ a with an infinitive to tell what someone is going to do. remember that inifintives are the main form of the verb (not conjugated, with NO SUBJECT)

12. Ir + a + INFINITIVE Shows what someone is going to do: Yo voy a nadar. I am going to swim. Y tú, ¿vas a jugar fútbol ? And you, are you going to play soccer ? Voy a estudiar para el examen. I am going to study for the test.
