2 Sole Property of Pragati - Spencer’s Centre for Retail Excellence About the Initiative Spencer’s Retail Ltd. have signed up with Hope Kolkata Foundation (HKF) for remittance of Donations Voluntarily contributed by our Customers through billing in POS. HKF is a registered Social Welfare Organization which works for the all round development of Street Children. Note: The Hope Kolkata Foundation (HKF) was established in February 1999 for the protection and development of children on the street and in difficult circumstances.  HKF provides shelter, nutrition, education, medical & health care, counseling, life skill training & recreational activities for Street Children.  It also works in the area of Awareness generation about issues relating to children's rights, reintegration into family life support and love.

3 Sole Property of Pragati - Spencer’s Centre for Retail Excellence How Customers can take part in this Initiative? Customers can contribute their money that are mostly small value donations and in lieu of balance change money that is due to be paid by the cashier on bill closing. This is purely on voluntary basis and the customer will be asked if he /she is willing to contribute the balance change money towards donation. If Customer agrees to donate, then the change amount will be billed to customer. (system will automatically add the change money, upto Rs. 5/-, as a line item in bill) The cash collected as donation will be remitted to HKF. Note: This initiative will help Customers to be part of a Charitable Initiative on a voluntary basis and also helps the Cashiers to manage change/coins at Cash Tills.

4 Sole Property of Pragati - Spencer’s Centre for Retail Excellence Process to be followed in POS by Cashier  Scan and Bill all the products taken by Customer.  Press Subtotal to see the net amount payable by customer.  Inform Total Bill Amount to Customer. Ask Customer for the mode of Payment. Cashier: “Madam, your total bill amount is Rs. ____ /-, Would you like to pay by Cash / Card / Coupon?”  Customer hands over cash (In case of Cash Payment).  Enter the amount paid by Customer in POS & close bill.

5 Sole Property of Pragati - Spencer’s Centre for Retail Excellence On exiting from payment screen, balance amount to be returned to customer will be seen on Billing Screen. If “Return Change” is less than or equal to Rs. 5.00, a pop-up window will appear to prompt the cashier to ask the customer whether they wish to donate the amount for “Hope Foundation – Kolkata”. Cashier: “Madam, your balance is Rs. 5/-, Would you like to contribute the balance amount to Hope Foundation for Social Welfare Activities?” Process to be followed…continued

7 Sole Property of Pragati - Spencer’s Centre for Retail Excellence Scenario 2: Total Bill Amount is Rs.57/- and customer paid Rs.100/- Cashier: “Sir, your balance amount is Rs. 43/-, Would you like to contribute 3 rupees change to Hope Foundation for Social Welfare Activities?” Process to be followed…continued

8 Sole Property of Pragati - Spencer’s Centre for Retail Excellence Scenario 3: Total Bill Amount is Rs.819/- & customer paid Rs.1000/- Cashier: “Sir, your balance amount is Rs. 181/-, Would you like to contribute 1 rupee change to Hope Foundation for Social Welfare Activities?” Process to be followed…continued

9 Sole Property of Pragati - Spencer’s Centre for Retail Excellence Exceptions If the “Return Change” is between Rs.6 to Rs.9, then the prompt message window will not appear on pressing ‘close bill’. Neither the Cashier can do billing of HKF article in any other mode (EAN/Article/Description entry) nor he can do price change of this article. POS will allow to Bill the amount prompted by ‘pop up window’ for HKF article. Customer cannot make partial payment of amount prompted by POS (eg. If System prompts to contribute Rs.5, customer cannot make part payment of Rs.4/- or less. Either customer should agree to pay full amount of Rs.5/- or they can opt out to contribute and collect balance Rs.5/- from cashier. ) Note: Cashier should not collect any amount from Customer without Billing on POS for donation towards Hope Kolkata Foundation.

10 Sole Property of Pragati - Spencer’s Centre for Retail Excellence If customer says “Yes”, Cashier should press “Yes” button on screen. System will automatically capture this as an article in the bill with the donated amount against it and the bill will be printed. If customer says “No” Cashier should press “No” button on screen and the bill will be printed. Process to be followed…continued Note: If customer pays by Credit card or Coupon, then the Cashier need not ask for the donation for Hope Foundation.

11 Sole Property of Pragati - Spencer’s Centre for Retail Excellence Change money, the customer contributed, will appear in the bill as a line item (like other articles) as the last item in the bill. Cashier should show/explain the same to customer in the bill. Return balance cash and bill, if any due after the contribution, based on the amount paid by the customer. (This will be prompted by the POS as is normally being done) Process to be followed…continued We make a LIVING by what we GET. 12 Sole Property of Pragati - Spencer’s Centre for Retail Excellence In Summary… In case of Cash Payment Complete transaction in Cash Mode. Balance to be returned to Customer will appear on screen. Press “Close Bill”. If change to be returned to customer is Rs.5 or less, a pop up window will appear on screen Check with Customer whether she wants to donate the change to HKF. Press “Yes” if she agrees to donate. Give Balance Amount Rs. 10/- with Bill to Customer. If Customer doesn’t want to donate, press “No” to print the bill. Give bill and balance Rs.15/- to Customer
