How sexist are you? Do this activities in pairs and compare your answers. Does a high score necessarily mean you are sexist? Explain your findings and discussions 0= strongly disagree 5= strongly agree Every man should have a woman he adores? Men without women are complete men. Most problems women have at work are exaggerated Once a man agrees to commit to a woman she then starts to keep him under tight control In an equal contest when women lose to men they frequently claim it is because of discrimination

Is the media sexist? “unnerving hairdos” “Uppity woman” “would you be in this position were it not for your husband?” Research your own example when the media may have been sexist and when it has been fighting for women equality.

Watch the 1 st 2 minutes of the you tube clip: Homophobia you decide Antilocution defines verbal remarks against a person, group or community, which are not addressed directly to the target. Generally referred to as "talking behind someone's back," the impact of this is often overlooked. However because antilocution creates an environment where discrimination is acceptable, it frequently progresses to other more damaging forms of prejudiced behavior.discrimination Give an example of antilocation comment in either racist, sexist or homophobic terms.

Heterosexist: Belief that being heterosexual is inherently better/more moral than being homosexual. Like other forms of discrimination, heterosexuals awards power to their dominant group members

Discuss: Is being anti gay more acceptable than being racist? Give 3 reasons on both sides of the argument.
