2. Academic misconduct includes:  Cheating – an attempt to use or provide unauthorized assistance on any academic exercise. This includes submitting substantial portions of the same academic work for credit more than once without the instructor’s permission.  Fabrication – falsifying or inventing information or data

3.  Plagiarism – any ideas or materials taken from another source must be fully acknowledged. It is important to know that…  All IU students are responsible for upholding and maintaining academic and professional honesty and integrity  The Code does not take intent into account  Faculty members *must* report all instances of academic misconduct to the Dean of Students and have the right to impose an academic sanction for academic misconduct in their courses.
