Why use drugs? Aim: To understand the main reasons why people use legal drugs. Goal: To compare the reasons why people take legal drugs to prescriptive drugs

There are lots of different reasons why people use drugs but we can narrow these reasons down to four ones. Task! Match the columns and write the reasons in your book. ExperimentalSome drugs are used in a social setting to help people relax, have fun etc. RecreationalSome drugs are used because of the effect they have on us, e.g. make us feel calmer ExperientialSome drug users become dependent in the drug and their bodies cease to function correctly without it AddictionSome people use drugs to see what they are like
