9 QAH HospitalPortsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust IT Strategy: Key Content (1) To transform its care of patients the Trust needs an effective, modern, fully-integrated Clinical Information System (CIS) which: presents all relevant information on a patient that has already been recorded to the next clinician involved in their care helps them quickly order the right tests and tells them when results available supports them in making good decisions on diagnosis and treatment helps them communicate, both inside and outside the Trust, and arrange subsequent treatment without delay. Integration is key to ensuring data collected once & available to all
