14. City GIS Activities for 2003 The Yolo County GIS Consortium issued an RFP to rectify our base maps. ValueCAD was award the contract for work and completed the updates for FY 2003/04. We have a parcel base map that properly aligns with all of our city GPS monuments. Due to the severity of the adjustment we affected “all” of Community Development CADD layers.

15. City GIS Activities for 2004 City GIS Activities for 2004 Established a funding program for the City GIS program with a 5% technology fee on building and engineering permits. Funding for our Strategic Plan update was obtained through a CDGB Grant. We developed a procedure for tying data from third party applications to our parcel layer. We developed a web based selector tool for displaying information by way of the Internet.

16. City GIS Activities for 2004 Issued an RFP for the revision of our GIS Strategic Plan on June 7 th. Received six responses to our RFP that was due by COB on July 12 th. The council approved our GIS Specialist position and project budget on July 14 th. External review panel of RFP responses was conducted on July 19 th to define our final three.

17. City GIS Activities for 2004 We started our GIS Specialist recruitment on July 23 rd. City panel will meet in August to interview the top three vendor’s for our RFP. Our goal is to have a vendor selected by the end of August with the project starting in October. GIS Specialist should be on board when our vendor starts the Strategic Plan project.
