4 Course Description Japanese III we learn…  More advanced conversation  Provide and obtain information  Express feelings and emotions  Exchange opinions  Japanese cultures and art

5 Course objectives  Develop four linguistic skills in Japanese: Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing.  Write and read a short story in Japanese using Hiragana, Katakana, and 250 Kanji characters  Communicate and interact in Japanese

9 Rights and Responsibilities  You have a right to a safe orderly classroom.  Respect yourself, your peers, and teacher.  Respect the property of others.  Sit in your assigned seat when you come into your classroom.  No food & drinks in class except a bottled water.  Keep your hands to yourself.  Go to bathroom before coming to class.

10 Homework  Homework will be given credit each day.  You will receive stamps on your calendar.  One stamp will be worth 5 points  Turn in your calendar every two weeks  Homework Web: Zangle

11 Consequences  Warning. Points will be taken.  Second warnings, teacher conference  Parent contact  Referral or referral to the office  Suspension

14 Bonus points will be given. Sharing Japanese Current Events. Share authentic Japanese reading materials in class. Helping teacher or students. Having an excellent attitude and by answering challenge questions. Helping to organize the classroom.

15 Cheating and plagiarism is not be tolerated. You will get “F” and suspended from class.

16 Make-up Test/Quiz Day  Thursdays and Fridays during lunchtime
