4 NARRATORS PERSPECTIVE OF CHARLIE Through the narrator we learned that Charlie gives it his best to be able to read, write, and understand things. Our evidence to prove this we found on progis riport 4- Mar 8 where keye’s says “He said I had good motor-vation.” Through the narrator we learned that Charlie gives it his best to be able to read, write, and understand things. 5 OTHER CHARACTERS OPINION OF CHARLIE GORDON By the way other characters relate to Charlie we learned that Charlie was dumb and everyone laughed at him, but after his operation he was smart and rejected by everyone. ” Donnegen showed me the petition… all the rest demanded that Id be fired.” By the way other characters relate to Charlie we learned that Charlie was dumb and everyone laughed at him, but after his operation he was smart and rejected by everyone. ” Donnegen showed me the petition… all the rest demanded that Id be fired.”

6 WHAT WE THINK ABOUT CHARLIE Through Charlies thoughts and actions we can infer that he is determined and again has a lot of self-confidence but people lower his confidence. We can prove this because Keye’s says that Joe and Frank invited Charlie to a party. Joe said I should dance with Ellen… he fell a few times and he couldn’t understand why because no one else was dancing besides Ellen and him. In all the times he was tripping because someone’s foot was sticking out…” he’s a scream” one of the girls said and everybody was laughing. Charlie didn’t know that people liked to have him around to only make fun of him. “now I know what it means when they say “to pull a Charlie Gordon. Im ashamed.” Through Charlies thoughts and actions we can infer that he is determined and again has a lot of self-confidence but people lower his confidence. 7 HOW THE AUTHOR AND CHARACTERS SEE CHARLIE The author sees Charlie as a dumb yet smart person he sees him in a more mature way while the characters take him more childish and view him as entertainment. 8 OUR POINT OF VIEW Keye’s sees Charlie as a dumb person. He puts Charlie as a mentally handicapped guy and makes the characters seem immature about Charlies situation by making them laugh. Us as readers I think were more mature of it and see it as something normal and ok. We feel bad that he’s made fun of something he cant control cause hes only human. 9 DYNAMIC? Through out the story Charlie does change. He goes from dumb to smart to dumb again. Charlie also does things that are uncharacteristic of him. Such as when they're laughing at the boy and he begins laughing to, that’s not uncharacteristic but its his subconscious. The uncharacteristic actions were when he realized he was laughing then stopped and began to yell at the people saying that they shouldn't be laughing cause he's only human. This is something that he wouldn't normally do so its uncharacteristic, he got out of his comfort zone for this. Through out the story Charlie does change. He goes from dumb to smart to dumb again. 10 HOW CHARLIE SEES HIMSELF Charlie sees himself as a smart person but sometimes he's brought down by people's words & actions. He wants to be successful but he doesn't have motivation to do it, he receives more negativity than positivity. All this causes him to run away because the positivity he does get is just people feeling sorry for him.
