I thought it was very difficult to keep the whole lunch within the budget. I couldn’t get mayonnaise for the sandwich. Nor could I get crackers or veggies. However, I did manage to keep it relatively low calorie, as well as low sodium. I’m use to planning meals for a low sodium diet so this was not unusual for me. The overall meal was pretty healthy. I typically eat a lunch very similar to this one, I eat tuna sandwiches (with mayo) fairly often, with fruit, although I usually eat crackers or chips as well. After I ate this meal, I was hungry by late afternoon and ready for a snack. Most days I get hungry by afternoon but I did especially on this day. I learned how difficult it can be to get everything for a meal, such as cheese or mayo, things I take for granted will be available, without going over budget. I also learned how easy it is to get the supplies to make a lunch for a very little amount of money.
