1 Computer-AidedSpeech-to-text Captioning Service Provided by: Deaf Services Center utilizing C-Print ® software from National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT)

2 How Does Speech-To-Text Work?  Remote settings utilize a microphone, audio source and Wi-Fi Internet technology to transmit the typed message between the captionist and the consumer.  A wireless connection transfers a typed message between two computers in real time.

3 Equipment  C-Print ® client software is provided free of charge from NTID or downloadable from your app store.  On site: - Laptop computers are provided by DSC  Remote: - Wi-Fi Internet service - Audio stream (e.g., Skype) - Client can utilize their personal laptop or mobile device - Bluetooth or wireless microphone
