BODY Draw a triangle if you enjoy reading NON-FICTION—reading for information Draw a rectangle if you enjoy reading FICTION Draw a circle if you like reading both FICTION and NON-FICTION

HEAD Draw an inverted triangle if you prefer reading with an e-reader. Draw a square if you prefer reading from a traditional book—paperbacks, hardbacks, etc. Draw an oval if you prefer audio versions of book, hearing them read aloud to you.

EYES When you come across a word you don’t know while reading… – Draw open eyes if you usually can figure out the word using clues or other words in the sentence or you look it up in a dictionary before moving on – Closed eyes if you usually just move on

MOUTH Draw a mouth to represent your level of happiness with reading…. – SMILE: I LOVE to READ, it is a hobby of mine – STRAIGHT: I like reading – FROWN: I don’t like reading Give yourself EARS if you like reading with music playing or other noise NO EARS means you like it to be QUIET while reading EARS

LEGS Now to make your legs: – Write your favorite book title as one leg. – Write your favorite author as the other.

HANDS On your RIGHT HAND write the number of books you read this summer On your left hand draw a heart and write a number to represent your love of reading (on a scale of 1-10)

FEET On your RIGHT foot write how many minutes a day you typically spend reading On your left foot write the number of books you own

HAIR Add curly hair if you feel comfortable talking in front of the class. Add straight hair if you feel comfortable talking in a small group. Add no hair if you don’t feel comfortable talking with others.

Finish Your Person On your belly, draw a symbol or something to tell people a little bit about you. Write your name on the back of the card and anything you think I might need to know about you …
