Program Overview Harvard Phone will replace Harvard’s legacy telephony service and provide modern, flexible, easy- to-use, communications tools with self service portals and support for mobility 2 Harvard Phone @24,000 admin/faculty phones Student, fax, emergency, elevator, call center lines remain on legacy service Voice-Over-IP cloud based Verizon offering, powered by Cisco Implementation & Training services Focus on communications and outreach Program Scope Desk phones, soft phones, cell phones Support for BYOP Desktop video and Web conferencing (phase II) End user & Admin self service portals Services Offered Reduce legacy infrastructure & lines Offer simple service packages Empower schools and users w/self- service tools Simplify provisioning & billing models University cost savings over time Goals & Objectives
