International Documents Bill of Lading – Acknowledges that the goods have been placed on board a vessel for delivery to a specific destination – Specifies how goods are to be carried – Contract between the shipper and the carrier – Where, when, and by whom goods are to be delivered – Where, when and by whom freight charges are to be paid – Tool to transfer ownership of the goods Certificate of Origin – Certifies country of origin for customs clearance and tariff classification – Used to reduce duties & tariffs if trade agreement is in place – Must be signed and sealed by Chamber of Commerce
