Safe Winch Launching
2
Before Launch The conditions are safe to fly in. The canopy is not misting I have the correct weak link I know the max winch speed, Va and VNE of the aircraft I am flying. I know how to release the straps, eject the canopy, deploy the parachute. The glider is pointing at the winch/

Eventualities On the Ground Run I will keep the wings level On the Ground Run I will keep the wings level If a wing is going down and I cannot stop it with full aileron, I will pull off BEFORE the wing hits the ground. If a wing is going down and I cannot stop it with full aileron, I will pull off BEFORE the wing hits the ground. My left hand is holding the yellow knob. My left hand is holding the yellow knob. If I go into cloud I will pull off If I go into cloud I will pull off

Speed I will not rotate into the climb until the aircraft has accelerated through 150% of the unaccelerated stall speed. (specify) I will not rotate into the climb until the aircraft has accelerated through 150% of the unaccelerated stall speed. (specify) I will not let the speed go below 150% of the unaccelerated stall speed during the launch, or above the Max Winch speed on the placard in the top third of the launch. I will not let the speed go below 150% of the unaccelerated stall speed during the launch, or above the Max Winch speed on the placard in the top third of the launch. If the glider exceeds the Max Winch speed on the placard in the top third of the launch I will release the cable. If the glider exceeds the Max Winch speed on the placard in the top third of the launch I will release the cable.

Cable Break In the event of a cable break I will immediately lower the nose to the recovery attitude. In the event of a cable break I will immediately lower the nose to the recovery attitude. Once I have accelerated through the minimum approach speed for the conditions (Specify a number) I will land ahead if possible, or turn Left/ Right if not. Speed = life (at least lack of speed = Death) Speed = life (at least lack of speed = Death)
