2 GSC17-PLEN-11 Standards for Shared ICT GSC-17, Jeju / Korea Test Specifications 2012 Continued development of conformance test specifications for –LTE™, Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) –Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (DECT™) –Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) In particular, the work on ITS included –Development of a conformance test platform (the ‘Conformance Validation Framework’) –Conformance test specifications for the Co-operative Awareness Message (CAM) –Decentralised Environmental Notification Message (DENM) services – GeoNetworking protocols –Security tests for vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-roadside network infrastructure 2

3 GSC17-PLEN-11 Standards for Shared ICT GSC-17, Jeju / Korea Interoperability events 2012 We carried out 12 Plugtests events: –Electronic Signatures –the Internet of Things (CoAP) –Cloud (2 events) –ITS –Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communications –Mobile Applications –IPv6 –eCall –VoLTE RCS –Associated Signature Container (ASiC) –eHealth 3

4 GSC17-PLEN-11 Standards for Shared ICT GSC-17, Jeju / Korea Strategic Interest 2013 Test specifications and interop events for –M2M –Cloud –ITS –Semantic Interoperability IoT – concentrating on CoAP (Constrained Application Protocol) and 6LoWPAN testing. Methodologies for testing Smart Grid. Interoperability for Smart Cities. Emphasis on combining technical quality with testing and validation (interoperability events) to deliver interoperable standards and products. 4

5 GSC17-PLEN-11 Standards for Shared ICT GSC-17, Jeju / Korea TC MTS – main points in 2012 Testing Languages –Continued maintenance of TTCN-3 –Further development of TPLAN –Work started on TDL (Test Description Language) Model Based Testing –Technical Report (TR) outlining the case studies –ETSI Guide (EG) on the use of MBT in the development of standardised tests. Security Testing –Ongoing TR describing use of security testing in industry –ETSI Technical Specification (TS) on security testing terminology and a security design guide 5

6 GSC17-PLEN-11 Standards for Shared ICT GSC-17, Jeju / Korea Major international user conferences 2012 TTCN -3 User Conference, Bangalore, India MBT User Conference, Tallinn, Estonia In 2013 these two successful events will be combined into a single annual conference –The User Conference on Advanced Automated Testing (UCAAT) –Broader the scope beyond TTCN-3 and MBT and will include more on general specification techniques and requirements. 6
