Travel Information Wednesday 2/10 Bus departs school at 10:00* American Airlines FLT 527512:20 – 1:57 Detroit Metro to Washington Reagan Sunday 2/14 American Airlines FLT 51455:20 – 6:57 Washington Reagan to Detroit Metro Transport from airport arranged by student (pickup at North Terminal baggage claim area) *Vehicles cannot be left at school. Arrange to be dropped off Wednesday morning.

Travel Tips American allows one carry-on and one personal item (laptop case, backpack – anything that can fit under the seat). Carry-on maximum dimensions: 22 X 14 X 9 inches * * if doesn’t fit in sizer will have to be checked ($25 each way) * * Checked bags allowed this year – may want to partner with other students for extra room. Pay at ticket counter. Travel Tips Expected dress at the conference is western business attire. Bring: Suit or sport coat and dress pants Dress shirts, socks, and ties for four days Dress shoes Belt Have comfortable clothing for travel, touring, and time out of committee. Note: We will be on Capitol Hill Thursday morning; will need to be “presentable” (meeting Senator Peters). Bring/wear comfortable walking shoes and/or boots. Remember it snows in DC! Weather is predicted to range from low 30’s to the low 50’s during our stay -- pack appropriately!

Costs Airfare, conference registration, and hotel are included. Travel from/to airport and around town will mainly be on the Metro system. If you don’t have a Metro Smart Card bring $20 for travel, $10 if you do have a card. Plan for all meals, snacks, souvenirs, admissions. DC is not a cheap city! If checking a bag $25 each way.
