3. Special Parallelograms Special parallelograms have certain properties and so does their diagonals. Remember: A parallelogram is a quadrilateral with opposite sides parallel.

4. Rhombus A parallelogram with four congruent sides. Think: A square tipped over

5. Rectangle A parallelogram with four right angles.

6. Square A parallelogram with four congruent sides and four right angles.

7. Theorem 6-13 If a parallelogram is a rhombus, then its diagonals are perpendicular. Diagonals intersect at a right angle.

8. Theorem 6-14 If a parallelogram is a rhombus, then each diagonal bisects a pair of opposite angles
