2 Supplementary figures Legends to supplementary figures Fig. S1 HPLC analysis of oleanolic acid (OA) isolated from cultured cells of A. bidentata. The cell sample was taken 12 days after inoculation. The isolated OA was analyzed by HPLC employing Aglient HPLC system consisting of a diode array detector and Elite SinoChrom ODS-BP column (250 mm × 4.6mm) by UV detection at 210 nm. 10 µl samples were eluted with a mobile phase consisting of 90: 10 (v/v) methanol: water at a flow rate 1 mL/min. Fig. S2 Multiple alignment of AbHMGR with the following other plant HMGR: AtHMGR (XP_002887642), PkHMGR (ABC74565), DlHMGR (AET72044), LcHMGR (ABF56518), CsHMGR (AHB64333), MaHMGR (AAD03789) and MnHMGR (EXB56263). Similar residues are colored as the most conserved one (according to BLOSUM62, average BLOSUM62 score: Max: 3.0, Low: 0.5). Fig. S3 Phylogenic tree analyzes of HMGRs from various species.
