1 Методическая разработка урока английского языка на тему: «A TRIP TO LONDON» ПОДГОТОВИЛА: ПРЕПОДАВАТЕЛЬ ИНОСТРАННОГО ЯЗЫКА ПЕРВОЙ КАТЕГОРИИ О.Н.ГОВЕРДОВСКАЯ Г.КУРГАНИНСК, Х.КРАСНОЕ ПОЛЕ, 2016

2 Задачи урока:  - образовательные (направлены на достижение предметных результатов): развивать коммуникативные навыки студентов, совершенствование умений и навыков монологической и диалогической речи учащихся по теме «Путешествие по Лондону», навыков письменной речи, совершенствовать лексико-грамматические навыки в употреблении слов и построении высказываний по теме «Лондон».  - развивающие (направлены на достижение метапредметных результатов): повышать мотивацию к изучению иностранного языка, развивать навык языковой догадки, интеллект, память, мышление, умение делать выводы, внимание.  - воспитательные (направлены на достижение личностных результатов): создавать условия для формирования ясных представлений студентов о Лондоне, формирование межкультурных связей, формировать активность, воспитывать интерес к слушанию и говорению на английском языке воспитывать умение работать в группе и самостоятельно.

3  T: Good morning, friends! Glad to see you.  Cl: Good morning! Glad to see you too.  T: How are you?  Cl: We’re fine, thank you. And how are you?  T: I am fine. Thanks. Sit down, please. -Today we are going to make a sightseeing tour round London.

5 Task. “Agree or disagree”.  - Trafalgar square is in London.  - Moscow is the capital of the UK.  - London is the capital of the UK.  - You don’t want to visit Great Britain.  - There are a lot of places to visit in London.  - London lies on the river Colorado.  - London is not a beautiful country.

6 4.1.TASK. Answer my questions.  How old is London?  What parts does London consist of?  What is the City?  What is the West End?  What is the East End?

7  St1: London is more than two thousand years old. It is one of the largest cities in the world. About seven million people live there.

8  St2: London consist of three parts: the City, the West End and the East End.

9  St3: The City is the heart of the business and financial life of the country. Most of London’s banks and offices are located in this part of the capital. It is the oldest part of London. Now thousands of people come here every morning to work in large offices.

10  St4: The West End is best known to rich tourists. You will find the best theatres, clubs, museums, restaurants, shops and hotels here.

11  St5: In the East End people of all colours live. Many factory workers live and work in the East End of London.

13  St6: The geographical centre of London is Trafalgar Square with its fountains, a tall column, a monument to Admiral Nelson and the National Gallery. The Gallery is world- famous and has the largest collection of paintings in the UK. Trafalgar Square is a popular place with tourists from different countries.

14  St7 : The Houses of Parliament lies on the north bank of the river Thames. It has three towers, the most famous of them is the Clock tower, or Big Ben. The British Government sits in the Houses of Parliament. It is very interesting to listen to the debates in the House of Lords and the House of Commons.

15  St8: It is the London home of the Queen. We couldn’t go in because the palace isn’t open to the public. When the flag is flying on the top she is at home. Changing the Guard Happens every day at 11.30.

16  St9: It’s a famous museum of wax figures. They have wax figures of all the famous people in the world. ( Madame Tussaud’s)

17  St10: It’s the largest observation wheel in the world and it’s very popular with tourists. (the Thames)

18  St11 : The Tower of London has a long and cruel history. It was a fortress, a prison, a castle and a zoo. Now it is the oldest museum in London. The Tower of London has some interesting traditions. One of them is to keep black ravens on its territory. They say Britain will be strong, powerful and successful if ravens don’t leave the Tower.

19  St12: It is a symbol of England. It is a royal church. Here you can see the tombs of many British kings and queens (Westminster Abbey)

21 I visit the Queen. I’ve been to London to look at the Queen. I’ve been with two horses, A black and a grey. They ate 15 bundles Of sweet smelling hay. At Buckingham Palace I stopped at the game. And explained to the sentry why I was late. A ballad of Stonehedge. Three thousands years before Christ was a child, England was beautiful, young and wild. There were people, forests and rivers there, And the magic stones hung in the air.

22 The people who brought then were strong and brave, And under these stones they found their graves. Where did they come from? Where did they go? Who were these people? We’ll never know. Now these days are gone and the people are gone, But the midsummer sunrise still shines on the stone. And the midwinter sunset still comes with the rain, And Stonehedge greets them on Salisbury Plain

23 TASK. Now read the text about London Parks and Gardens. Hyde Park has got a lake in the middle. The name of the lake is the Serpentine, and you can go boating on it. It is a place where you can walk on the grass and enjoy looking at tress, flowers, water birds. Mother often come to Hyde Park with their children and the birds.

24  On Sundays you can listen to the speakers at Speaker’s Corner. People from many countries of the world come and speak here. They can speak about any things which are interesting for them and listeners can ask them difficult questions if they like. You can stand on a box and speak to some of the listeners too!

25  Kensington Gardens is next to Hyde Park. Here you can see the statue of Peter Pan.

26  Regent’s Park is the home of London Zoo. The Zoo has thousands of birds and animals from many places of the world.

27  St. James’s Park is next to Buckingham Palace. It is smaller, but many people think it is the most beautiful park in London.

29 You were in London in May. You went there with your parents. You stayed in London five days. You saw the Tower, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament. In the evenings you walked about London and went to the theatre two times. The weather was sunny and very warm. You enjoyed it a lot.

30  That’s all we have time for.  Do you like our trip to London?  What did you like to do?  I am satisfied with your work.  You were active, polite and very friendly.
