Etiology: sudden, involuntary contraction S/S: Pain, cramping TX: Gentle stretching, ice/heat

Etiology: painless, gradual atrophy of muscle tissue S/S: mild to total diasability TX: no cure, medication, braces, physical therapy

AKA: Fibromyositis Eitiology: inflammation of muscle tissue in the lower spine S/S: pain, tenderness after exposure to cold, dampness, or minor trauma TX: rest, heat, massage therapy, medication

Etiology: abnormal protrusion of a body part into another are. Example: intestines through abdominal muscles in the groin S/S: pain, possible visible bulge TX: bracing, surgical procedure, medication
