September 19 page 21 Write the definition and answer the questions. 1. Metaphor (n) a comparison that does not use “like” or “as.” Freddie is a (type of animal) when he eats. 2. Rhythm (n) in poetry, rhythm is the pattern of the number of syllables in a line. What else has rhythm besides poetry? 3. Imagery (n) in literature, the descriptive writing that appeals to the five senses. (smell, sight, taste, sound, touch) Write a description using visual imagery.
