Early adulthood. Reach their physical peak and mature. Things like – starting to work. Meeting a partner, settling down and starting a family.

Datblygiad Corfforol/ Physical development. Reach physical peak.- this is when they are physically at their strongest. Spinters usually at their peak in their mid twenties.

Datblygiad Corfforol/ Physical development. Towards the end of this life stage -physically start to go down hill. Fertility levels begin to fall. The menopause starts for women from the age of 45-55. This is when women produce less oestrogen and the menstrual cycle stops.

Datblygiad Corfforol/ Physical development. For men they produce less testosterone and sperm count gets less. People’s metabolic rate slow down, so they burn fewer calories and some people put on weight. (middle age spread!!) Too avoid this a good diet and exercise is important.

Datblygiad deallusol/ Intellectual development Learning still carries on in this life stage! Driving lessons Cookery classes. Some may want to go back into education to get better job prospects. Learning new skills in the workplace.

Emotional development Self esteem and confidence increases Personal relationships Marry, cohabit, civil partnership Parenthood, responsibilities Most adults will experience both negative and positive experiences.

Social development May have an active social life, make new friends, build relationships. At 45, may be married, have children, job and mortgage. Balancing work and family life can be hard.
