SOIL ANALYSIS
2
WHY IS SOIL ANALYSIS NECESSARY?
3
If too much fertilizer is thrown, the money is wasted.
4
Excess fertilizer destroys the soil structure and pollutes the environment.
5
We cannot know what kind of fertilizer should be used for our land..
6
We cannot know how much fertilizer should be thrown.
7
WHEN CAN WE TAKE THE SAMPLE FROM THE SOIL?
8
It is taken after the harvest, the most ideally in the autumn.
9
WHERE CANNOT THE SAMPLE SOIL BE TAKEN FROM?
10
from the muddy places
11
from hollow and protuberant places where the water is accumulated
12
from the edges of fences and roads
13
from threshing fields and from the places where animal has lain.
14
from the places where the manure pile is nearby
15
HOW MUCH SHOULD THE SAMPLE SOIL BE?
16
It should be taken from at least 9-10 different locations to represent our land and it should be approximately 1kg.
17
HOW SHOULD THE SOIL SAMPLE BE TAKEN?
18
The grass at the place where the sample will be taken is cleared to receive the soil.
19
V-shaped pit is opened. 2-3 cm thick soil section is taken from each pit.
20
This process is continued by taking samples from 9-10 locations in our field
21
The taken samples are mixed in a clean place
22
1kg of this mixture is put in a bag
23
It is analysed in a laboratory.
