Competition Never Hurts To promote competition between my classes… I rank my classes just like The Coaches Poll in NCAA Football or The Associated Press (AP) Poll in NCAA Basketball Each class has a team name that was chosen from history: Military Squadrons of the Continental Army in the American Revolution
3
How It Works You have 5 Days (Friday to Thursday) By doing things like: Entering class PROFESSIONALLY and SILENTLY Getting started IMMEDIATELY on Warm-up Participating POSITIVELY in class Being PREPARED for class (with ALL MATERIALS) Being RESPECTFUL, CIVIL, and POLITE (NOT talking out of turn, randomly screaming, or yelling, and by sitting professionally You earn points toward your weekly (and yearly) total
4
The Points At the end of every day, the classes will be ranked on how well they performed and conducted themselves: First Place: 50 Points Second Place: 40 Points Third Place: 30 Points Fourth Place: 20 Points Fifth Place: 10 Points Bonuses are awarded for not setting off the noise meter! The class that leads at the end of the day Thursday wins for the week
5
Just Win, Baby! Winning a week: Gets you the championship advantage as your class will start the new week ranked first… But BEWARE the Winner’s Curse The weekly totals are used to calculate the YEARLY TOTALS The team with the most points at the end of the year MAY get a prize in June…
