5 Freshman Admission Requirements for international students  A Completed La Verne Application or Common Application  $50 Application Fee  Official high school transcripts from all secondary and post-secondary schools and universities  A Personal Essay  One Letter of Recommendation  One of the following  SAT  ACT  TOEFL  IELTS  Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE)  Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE)

6 Transfer Admission requirements for international students  A completed La Verne Application OR Common Application (Only fill out ONE)  $50 (USD) application fee  Official university transcripts  Transcripts must be submitted for evaluation to a recognized credential evaluation service.  For an up to date list of approved Foreign Credential Services, please refer to the following website: http://www.naces.org/members.htm.  In order to have foreign coursework reviewed for General Education applicability (as opposed to elective credit), students must also submit notarized translations of course descriptions. IERF is one company that offers this service.  A Personal Essay allows us to get to learn a little more about you  TOEFL or IELTS exam results sent directly from the testing agency to the University of La Verne  One letter of recommendation  University of La Verne Transfer Form

7 English Requirements  The University of La Verne accepts the following as proof of English proficiency  TOEFL  80 iBT or higher*  550 pBT or higher  IELTS  6.5 overall band score or higher*  SAT  420 or higher on the critical reading section of the SAT  Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE)  Minimum score of 58  Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE)  Minimum score of 53  ELS  Satisfactory completion of ELS 112 *While all applicants need to have the minimum combined score indicated, the University of La Verne will also evaluate each applicants individual sub-scores.

8 Scholarships  All international first year students are automatically considered for scholarships  A student must live on campus to be eligible  No separate application process  Not tied to a specific major  Range from $5,000-$18,000 USD per academic year  Renewable for up to four years  Based on Grade Point Average (GPA) and SAT OR ACT OR iELTS OR TOEFL
