2. The Eco Committee has come together and decided that the waste in our school could be improved, and hopefully with the help of you it will!

3. Our Aims… One of our biggest goals is to reduce all waste in our packed lunches, so that we are one step closer to becoming a zero waste school!

4. About the competition… All you need to do is create a leaflet that incorporates the theme of a zero waste school. Inside your leaflet we will put 7 tips and tricks on how to reduce the waste in your packed lunches, but we are hoping you can come up with 3 of your own. Once you have finished your leaflet remember to give it to a member of the Eco Committee in primary 7, or Mrs Edwards. Remember we have the green badges!

5. Make sure your leaflet has dos and don’ts…example Don`t Do Don`t bring cartons of juice! (they’re bad for the environment) Bring reusable water bottles!

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask one of the Eco Committee crew Do’sDon’ts  Bring in a reusable water bottle!  Bring your sandwich in a box!  Don’t bring fruit in bags!  Bring in your own spoon, knife or fork!  Reuse sandwich bags and tinfoil!  Try something new, with less waste!  Buy big bags of crisps and eat them in smaller portions throughout the week!  Don’t bring in juice cartons!  Don’t bring your sandwich in a disposable bag!  If you have fruit like grapes etc, put them in a box. Apples, oranges and bananas are fine on their own!  Don’t use plastic cutlery!  Don’t throw out tinfoil and sandwich bags!  Don’t keep bringing food that produces lots of waste, try new things!  Don’t buy individual bags of crisps!
