6 Feature-Rich Data Services
Performance SSD Cache (optional) Automated Storage Tiering (optional) Backup Remote replication (optional) Local replication (default included) Snapshot (default included) Data security SED (default included) IDR (default included) Storage capacity utilization Thin provisioning (default included) SSD Cache Copies hot data to high speed SSD cache pool. Accelerates performance for random read-intensive applications. Automated storage tiering Hot data has higher priority and resides in faster performance tiers. Cold data migrated to lower performance but higher capacity tiers. Optimizes utilization of HDDs, SSDs, and RAID levels to enhance ROI. Remote replication Data backup with synchronous and asynchronous options in WAN, IP, and FC SAN environments . Essential for effective disaster recovery, data backup, or long distance migration. SED (Self-encrypting drives) Unique factory encryption secures data plus makes deletion simple and complete. Helps users avoid data loss due to breaches , theft, and other events. IDR (Intelligent Drive Recovery) Smarter RAID 6 drive clone/replace, data recovery, and media scan. Avoids performance-impacting and time-consuming rebuild. Snapshot 128-target snapshot included, upgradable to 4096 targets. Users can instantly take point-in-time data images and use them as granular recovery points. Thin provisioning Automatically allocates system capacity to applications as needed. "Just-in-time" capacity allocation helps Increase storage utilization.

15 Key software feature – SSD Cache
SSD Cache with SSD wear level information Accelerated read performance for hot data, suitable for random read-intensive applications such as OLTP, Microsoft SQL, mail servers, CRM, Oracle database, SAP, and VDI Faster warm up and reduced wear compared to competitors Large SSD cache pool capacity up to 3.2TB (1.6TB per controller) Wear level information to monitor remaining life expectancy Intelligently moves a copy of the most frequently-accessed data from HDDs to SSD Cache. Sequential read data will not be placed to SSD Cache pool Always keep two copies of hot data, in SSD Cache and HDD Simple and intuitive GUI design

16 automated storage tiering (4 tiers)
Key software feature – automated storage tiering (4 tiers) Automated data migration with scheduling options Bi-weekly automated data migration executed during system off-peak periods Hot or cold data defined by the system based on access frequency and how old the data is Newly-created data is always temporarily stored in tier 0 until data migration Hot data sent to higher tiers and cold data moved to lower tiers after migration Tier migration priority Users can set up migration priority if host I/O and tier migration are running at the same time Three priority levels: low, normal, high 2GB 2GB 2GB 2GB Tier 0 SAS SSD Tier 1 2GB 2GB SATA SSD Tier 2 2GB SAS HDD Tier 3 2GB 2GB 2GB NL-SAS HDD

24 Remote replication Sync or async full data copies across systems
Via FC or iSCSI host ports Up to 64 replication pairs per system The replication can be set as sync or async mode and remote replication can be done through FC or iSCSI connectivity and up to 64 replication pairs per system. In sync mode, target and source will be kept constantly synchronized. In async mode, target and source will be synchronized at user-configurable time interval, like every 2 hours or every 4 hours. Local data copies can be used to protect data from source volume fatal failure. As to remote data copies, they can be used to restart service in minutes once the local site fails due to hardware failure or disasters. * Both storage systems are required remote replication licenses
