2 Education Philosophy A set of beliefs about how children develop and learn and what and how they should be taught.(Morrison, G.S., pg. 23, 2009) Belief that children need guidance and support and deserve respect Children need appropriate methods in learning based on their age, stage, and ability Children learn early and starting with disciplines and early interactions will build children cognitive, social, and physical skills.

4 Classroom Management Plan Classroom management involves teacher decisions and actions intended to create an environment conducive to learning (Newman, R., 2013) Establishing a set of consistent, firm, and fair rules Developing a set of positive consequences Developing a set of negative consequences to use when rules are broken A plan for implementing the model with students(Canter & Canter, 2001)(R.Newman, 4.2,2013) Classroom design Visual representation of my physical arrangement of the classroom. 6 Effective Lesson Planning & Design A “successful classroom has[is] a teacher who worked to create a climate of achievement, inclusiveness, and high expectations”. There are 4 principles “these principles are: setting high expectations, developing classroom rules and procedures, creating a positive learning environment, and effectively using time and space in the classroom”

7 Assessment Matters “ Teachers design, develop, and evaluate authentic learning experiences and assessment incorporating contemporary tools and resources to maximize content learning in context and to develop the knowledge, skill, and attitudes identified in the NETS-S”, and “Provide students with multiple and varied formative and summation assessments aligned with content and technology standards and use resulting data to inform learning and teaching”.(International Society for Technology in Education, 2008).
