Know about Solid waste Management(SWM) Sources of SWM Effects of SW How to control SW (!!!) Solid Waste Management
2
Solid waste is mainly made up of industrial solid waste(like papers, plastic, metals, etc..), urban domestic waste, excrement, medical and e- waste. Solid waste management is by the process of recycle or control of these solid waste.
3
Sources of Solid Waste (Humans!!) For urban and suburban dwellers, the most visible collection of solid municipal waste is actually only a small percentage of all waste as seen in this graphic. Agricultural waste from animals is a very big problem in rural areas and causes significant air and water pollution unless properly controlled. In mining areas, there are mountains of waste generated in digging an open pit mine. The major solid waste polluters are electric power & metaallurgy(met) industries. They generate 50.3% of takes place up 99.1% of storage space.
4
Effects By throwing away wastes at public palces then it cause obstruction in daily life. Urban domestic wastes cause to soil polution. If we didn't stop the sewage polution it is causes growth of bacteria & viruses. And it cause soil polution also. Some wastes means which poisness chemicals coming from hospitals are causes water polutions. So many peoples(mainly PP) are died by drinking these poluted water. Some of the toxicants are mixed with food chain causing a no. of undesirable effects. Animals are don't know what is good or bad for eat. ETC....
5
Control methods As you can see from this graphic the largest category of solid waste is paper. This is largely recycled at this time. Yard waste at least in Illinois is no longer sent to landfills but is composted. Solid Waste Others are recycled but they are in a littile amount. Composition of Municipal Solid Waste:

Control Methods Sanitary Landfills(dump or rubbish) Landfills are the most widely utilized solid waste management option. What is in our landfills? Landfills are generally used for household waste, without much effort at.Landfills are no longer thought to be the best method of waste … Some gets recycled or recovered and some is burned, but the majority is buried in landfills.
7
Effects:-
8
Control Methods Recycling Recycling involves processing used materials into new products to prevent waste of potentially useful material
10
Control Methods Incinerators to disposal
11
Control Methods Sewage Prevent We get Methane by using this method And some water for agriculture and for trees. Remaing some dirty water to plants.
12
Control Methods Increasing use of biodegradable products. Misusing of plastic and using of fibre carrybags. The need to reduce our garbage generation shouldbe a prime goal. By using dust bins in houses, hospitals, offices etc... Using scientific methods to control the waste. Creating awareness among people The most important solution for the control of the solid waste can only be in human beings.
