Can the teenagers of Israel and Palestine today recover from the violence they have faced all their lives? With the never ending story of ongoing wars in Israel and Palestine, youngsters’ body and soul are put in an impossible situation to be recovered. In spite of many casualties, it is the souls of teenagers that are crying out for saviors. Physical wound may heal over a time, but feelings don’t heal in the same pace. Kids have been facing violence all their lives and are being the victims of wars. The recovery will be a long and slow process for these teenagers, yet the war is still going.

Violence Lots of teenagers tend to be violent because that is all they have learned in their lives. Israel and Palestine should stop having the negative influence on teenagers.  What is cause and effect?  How can they recover?  What are the examples Palestine teenagers putting the fire on. Palestinian youth throws stones at Israeli troops near a burning van.

Cause and Effect of violence Cause  Effect Witnessing and experiencing the war  have a negative influence on kids and make them violent Innocent civilian’s death  revenge of their family member (violent leads to another) Never ending battles between two countries  teenagers grow without learning how to love and care others

Examples of some of the violence Events below all happened only in December 2008 The number of students that carries the clubs and knives are increasing. Police said if this continues on, metal detector will have to be in the schools. A seventeen year old teenager assaulted Arabs in Jerusalem with sticks. Total forty teenagers were arrested in one day for blocking and protesting violently at the western entrance to Jerusalem Palestine teenagers protesting.

How to recover? The government are trying to stop the bombing and shooting to protect the teenagers. This might help teenagers to see less violent things and eventually help them to recover their body and soul. The most helpful thing for a recovery of teenagers is to stop the war and teach them the diversity in culture and religion. About a month ago, a Palestine boy got in a serious injure. It will take a while for him to fully recover.

Let’s help them!!! Peace camps are trying to help Palestine and Israel teenagers! Last summer, a company called Positive Comedy helped Palestinian and Israeli teenagers to bond together. The company held the peace camp and led Palestinian and Israeli teenagers to build trust and friendship together. Creativity for Peace is a year- around program that helps the adolescent girls from Palestine and Israel to stay away from violence and conflict of their communities. You can go tohttp://www.creativityforpeac e.com/ to donate money for Palestine girls.http://www.creativityforpeac e.com/ Creativity for Peace yearly pictures.

Relate to the novel Habibi What is the novel, Habibi about? Habibi is a story of a Palestine girl, Liyana, who lived in the United States in all her life. Her family decides to go back to Palestine to trace their heritage back. This novel portrays the conflict between Palestine and Israel. Also the readers can learn the Middle Eastern culture and traditions.

Relate with the novel Habibi What is it like to live in Palestine at war? Rifles blasted and houses blew up. Liyana’s father’s best friend was shot next to him. People held candlelight vigils in the street. Jews occupied the invaded territory and took over all Palestine's’ furniture and houses. The bank didn’t give the money to its people. Similar events are still going on in Palestine. Reading the novel Habibi gives its readers indirect experience of the lives in Palestine at war.

Conclusion and Bibliography The conflict between Israel and Palestine should stop now to provide a better living condition for teenagers. Teenagers don’t deserve to live their lives in danger.
