IN 2015, BECAUSE OF GVSU’S $174,000 CAMPAIGN… WHAT MIGHT WE ACCOMPLISH TOGETHER IN 2016? 280 children could attend after-school academic support programs 340 people received job skill training to find stable employment 1,364 people attended programs to reduce or eliminate abuse, neglect and violence 3,744 people received assistance through food pantries, meals on wheels, and food programs

WHY UNITED WAY? WE BELIEVE EVERYONE DESERVES: A hand-up to meet their critical needs- especially in a crisis. Education for all children: specifically STEM for middle school youth. The ability to financially support themselves and their family.

UNITED WAY IS FOCUSED ON A.L.I.C.E. The working population struggling to afford basic needs. Asset Limited Income Constrained Employed The future success of our communities is directly tied to the financial stability of ALICE households. When ALICE suffers and is forced to make difficult choices, we all face serious consequences.
