22 Future work Explored non-English languages UK/Canada/Australia (finishing Dec. 2016) In 2017-18 expecting to work on: US monographs 1923-1963 (76,000) US state documents 1923-1977 (56,000) Inserts research study 1 September 2016
23
23 Inserts research study Performed deeper insert research on a random sample of 305 volumes U.S. monographs published 1923-63 known to contain other parts included by permission Attempted to find renewals for photographs, chapters, text quotations, images, etc. Employed a broad definition of insert – even short quotations were considered 1 September 2016
24
24 1 September 2016 Less than 10% of the inserts we studied were found to have been renewed.
