23. 23 Inserts research study Performed deeper insert research on a random sample of 305 volumes U.S. monographs published 1923-63 known to contain other parts included by permission Attempted to find renewals for photographs, chapters, text quotations, images, etc. Employed a broad definition of insert – even short quotations were considered 1 September 2016
