2 There are many parks and gardens in Marseille: -Parc du 26ème centenaire -Parc Borély -Parc Longchamps -Parc Pastré -Parc Athéna -Parc Chanot -Parc du Grand Séminaire -Parc Valmer -Parc François Billoux -Jardin du Pharo -Jardin de Corbières -Jardin du Bois-Sacré. If you go to Marseille, and if you want to visit parks, you should go to «Parc Borély» and «Parc Longchamps».

3 PARC BORELY Parck Borely is a public park in the city of Marseille, in France. Parc Borély was designed by Jean-Charles Alphand between 1860 and 1880. The park is 17 hectares in size. Parc Borély has three differents gardens: -a Garden “à la française”, facing the bastide, composed of two lawns. -a circular basin and a rectangual basin. -a double rows of trees, between the “avenue du Prado” and the gates of the park. An English landscape garden, on the west side of the park, surrounding a lake, and decorated with statues, fountain, a cascade, and a playground. There is also a miniature of “Notre-Dame de la Garde”.

4 PARC LONGCHAMPS Designed by the architect Henry Esperandieu, the palace was built arrond a fountain known as the chateau d'eau ("water castle"). It was created on the 15 of November 1839, the building took 30 years to complete. The palace is a monument located “Longchamp boulevard du Jardin Zoo”. The Parc Longchamps is 5 hectares in size. Before it was a zoo. The Palais Longchamp has three main parts: The “chateau d'eau” The east wing, which houses the “Musée des Beaux-Arts” The west wing, which houses the Museum “d'Histoire Naturelle”.
