www.revalidationplus.co.uk A Quick Guide for Doctors

Overview Revalidation and supportive strengthened appraisals have changed the way you need to record your CPD and Appraisals; you now need: – A portfolio of learning categorised by the GMC’s Good Medical Practice 4 domains and 12 attributes – Multi-Source Feedback (2 in 5 years) – Supporting information in your appraisals with structured reflective templates – Assessment of supporting information using a new common standard – New Strengthened Appraisal declarations

It’s all too much admin ! Which is why we at RevalidationPLUS have created a system that is – easy to use and – easy to delegate much of the form filling and portfolio maintenance

But there is so much more...... than NHS Appraisal Toolkit The menu on the left of the system seems to suggest a much more complicated process However its not necessarily all for you to complete... – delegate the filing or – just ignore everything except the PDP and Appraisal for now... it will work just like NHS ATK

Filing Not your job... Delegate... – Profile – ePortfolio – MSF – Governance Or, if you just complete supporting information in appraisal... it will complete your ePortfolio for you

APPRAISALS Stuff to do

Form 3... is now Supporting Information Its all the same things... But now reflective templates are part of the forms

Add new items by pulling from ePortfolio or creating a new one. When ready let the appraiser see it.
