2. The Social Program for the International Summer Term has the objective to allow international students who participate in the International Summer Term 2016 to meet UAB students, get to know our culture and participate in university activities. Buddy Program A group of buddies, made up of UAB students, will be assigned to accompany international students, both to the activities in the program and throughout their whole stay, in order to discover the UAB and Barcelona The buddy program will provide you a very positive experience of cultural exchange and leisure between international and local students. Social Program A variety of activities have been programmed so international students can see first hand UAB students and student societies, and get to know local culture. It will be a space to share experiences with local and international students. Monday 20 June 12 pm Welcome session in the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Law and UAB Services Fair. In the Fair you will find information about the UAB services and activities. There you will also meet their Buddies. Tuesday 21 June 1.30 pm Castellers (Human towers) Workshop. By Ganàpies de la UAB. The Castellers are a Catalan tradition that consists in building human towers. Place: Sala d’Actes in l’Àgora Building Wednesday 22 June 1.30 pm Tàndem. Meeting to practice languages, meet other students and try to speak Spanish or Catalan.
