2. The aim of our work is to investigate how the innovation of modern science - the cartographical atlas can help in exploring the territory of our region and can prevent from natural disasters.

3. The idea to make the first cartographical collection appeared in the staff of the Centre of Spielman in 2004 year. They wanted to present in this collection all the limitations for the nature- and subsoil users. It was necessary to mark on the map all the woods and forests where deforestation for the areal and linear objects is forbidden.

4. All the resources were divided into different categories: water bodies, forests, streams, swamps, nature reserves, wildlife preserves. The industrial infrastructure was marked too: pipelines, roads, railways, clustered areas.

5. In 2005 year in spring the first volume of the atlas was printed and it was immediately claimed in oil companies, in the local authorities, in the scientific organizations, in the institutes of higher education. While the second edition of the atlas was establishing, for the first time the map of all water-protected zones of our region had been created for every river, for every like.

6. Today while calculating the damage from the deforestation, the specialists use the atlas as a reference book. One more «know-how» of the Centre of Spielman was the map of the watercourse. The mathematical model of our okrug’s relief was built with all the heights and lowlands on which the hydro-nets were put over.

7. As a result one can see in what direction the watercourse will flow in case of spill contaminant. It’s very important to know by eliminating the spill consequences.

8. The information about the state of nature, the state of infrastructure is changing rapidly. The forests are cutting down, the clustered grounds and roads are building, the open pit mines are excavating in our region. And somewhere there were fires. Thаt’s why the similar cartographical collection must be renovated.

9. T HE NEXT ATLASES WILL DEMONSTRATE THE RESULTS OF DECODING THE SPACE SURVEY OF THE UGRA- TERRITORY.
