4 St Thomas More - Pupil Outcomes 2015 – looking back 73% of pupils make good levels of progress in Foundation Stage – 7% above the National Average 95% of pupils in Year 1 achieved the requirements of the Phonics Screening Check – 18% above the National Average In KS1 (end of Year 2) outcomes for Reading, Writing and Mathematics all exceeded pupils nationally at L2B+ (average performance) In KS2 outcomes for pupils in Reading and Writing were broadly in line with national averages. Results in Writing suggest that there is work to do. % of pupils achieving higher levels of performance were significantly below other schools nationally Attendance is high and above national averages

5 St Thomas More - Pupil Outcomes 2016 – the latest picture The way assessment is now done is different so comparisons to last year are misleading but we can make some judgements 79% of pupils make good levels of progress in Foundation Stage above the National Average but those children that come from our Nursery could be doing slightly better 89% of pupils in Year 1 achieved significantly above the requirements of the Phonics Screening Check albeit below last year. In KS1 (end of Year 2) outcomes for Reading, Writing and Mathematics all exceeded pupils nationally and showed modest improvements on last year

6 St Thomas More - Pupil Outcomes 2016 – the latest picture In KS2 SATs we had a mixed picture. The impact of the Talk for Writing Project showed it had a strong impact but Maths whilst showing improvements was not good enough.
