4 Important Dates PSAT 8/9 – Grade 9 – School ordered & District Paid – Orders should be placed no later than 9/23/2016. – Test Books will be delivered by 10/5/2016. – Pre-ID labels will be delivered by 10/6/2016. Conduct pre-admin session after this day. – 10/20/2016 – Deadline to return answer sheets – Note: If you select the pre-admin option online you will receive answer sheets and the Supervisor’s Manuals 9/14/2016. You can’t conduct the pre-admin session until you receive the Pre-ID labels. Broward County Public Schools will be participating in PSAT 8/9 and PSAT/NMSQT testing on Wednesday, October 19, 2016

5 Important Dates PSAT/NMSQT – Grades 10 – School ordered & State Paid (You can order for grade 11, but it will be the schools responsibility to pay the invoice.) – 8/30/2016 - Deadline to complete SSD Testing accommodations requests. – 9/2/2016 – Deadline tor reduce test-book orders – 9/23/2016 – Deadline to increase test-book orders – Pre-ID labels will be delivered by 10/6/2016. 12 PSAT 8/9 Ordering PSAT 8/9 has a testing window. Most of you will want to test the same day as the PSAT/NMSQT, 10/19/2016.

13 College Board Test Ordering The next page will ask you for school information. You need to enter or confirm by clicking on Continue the Coordinator Information and School Principal Information. ▶ The next pages will ask you for your Standard Test Book order and Nonstandard Test Book order, if needed.

14 College Board Test Ordering Pricing – The district got a discounted price for PSAT 8/9 grade 9. The DOE pays for PSAT/NMSQT for grade 10. If your non Pre-ID label student grids any other grade or leaves it blank, the school will be invoiced for this misgrid. PSAT 8/9 is $10 and PSAT/NMSQT is $15.

15 College Board Test Ordering PSAT 8/9 Place your 9 th grade order here. You can update this order later if needed just watch for the deadline. This will update to reflect your order above. There are no Student Guides for PSAT 8/9.

16 College Board Test Ordering PSAT 8/9 – College Board does not review requests for students who need accommodations. The school is responsible for determining how to administer accommodations to your students. Students who need extended time use a Standard Test Booklet. Timing is outlined in the Supervisor’s Manual. PSAT/NMSQT – College Board must review requests for students who need accommodations. Speak to your school’s SSD Coordinator to determine which students need accommodations. The approval process can take up to 8 weeks.

17 College Board Test Ordering Once shipment information becomes available the tracking information will be listed on your dashboard. Review your order before you submit. Once you submit you will see your summary information for your administrations.

19 College Board Test Ordering - Remittance School Name Once you receive the email notification of the number of answer sheets received for processing you must complete the Remittance Report. Print, review, sign and return. If the school has a payment include a check. Remember, the district is only paying for grade 9 PSAT 8/9 exams. The DOE only pays for PSAT/NMSQT for grade 10. The school is responsible for paying for any other grade and test. Once you receive the email notification of the number of answer sheets received for processing. EXAMPLE

20 Pre-ID Labels The district participates in Bulk Registration. This is not test ordering. You will receive one Pre-ID label for each student that was included in the Bulk Registration File. You will also receive the Supervisor’s Manual Bulk Registration Version. As soon as possible after receipt, review the labels to ensure that they are correct. (school code, student names, grade levels, etc.) If the labels are incorrect, Do Not Use Them! Contact the PSAT 8/9 Office immediately.

21 Pre-ID Labels 1.Receive Supervisor’s Manual (Bulk Registration Version) – Read thoroughly and completely! 2.Receive the Supplemental Instructions 3.Receive the Pre-ID labels 4.Plan to organize your testing rooms according to which students have labels and which do not 5.Apply the Pre-ID labels to answer sheets 6.Use the Supplemental Instructions in conjunction with this manual to customize scripts with your associate supervisors 7.Conduct a Pre-ID Label Information Session with your students on or before test day 8.Administer the test (with and without Pre-ID labels)

22 Pre-ID Labels Customizing the scripts for your Pre-ID label information session The following information has been provided for all students with Pre-ID labels (students do not need to bubble in these fields): First and Last Name School Code Sex Date of Birth Grade Level Refer to the Supplemental Instructions to confirm whether the district provided other information such as student address and student ID number. The scripts in the Pre-ID label information session section in the Supervisor’s Manual (BRV) will guide students through each field on the answer sheet and should be used in test rooms where all students have Pre-ID labels.

23 Things to do before test day Communicate with Students, Parents and Staff about the importance and benefits of PSAT testing. Review all shipments to make sure you received everything correctly. Read the Supervisor’s Manual (BRV) thoroughly and completely. Follow all instructions. Set aside and secure the Supervisor’s Manuals that come in your test shipment. Secure all test materials! Participate in our online PSAT Coordinator Training! Plan and train your associate supervisors – Pre-ID Session and Test Day. Create your room assignments and seating plans. Know the phone number to call for questions or issues.
