8 Registration & Packet Pick up Athlete must register in person. Athlete must present a photo identification document (passport, driving license, national id card, triathlon license with photo). Check your Race package; you should have Decals (race numbers for both arms and category decal for leg.) Swim Cap Timing Chips (1) one on left ankle Race Number Safety Pins Stickers (3 for the helmet, 1 for the bike) Souvenir Backpack Accreditation Bracelet (Will need to Pasta Party)

9 AG Standard Transition Bike Check In

10 AG Standard Transition Bike Check In You will need to check your bike in on Wednesday afternoon. The Technical Officials will check your bicycle according to the ITU competition rules.

12 AG Standard Transition Race Morning Check In You will need to park after the Park Royal Shopping Center and walk or take the free shuttle into the venue. The Technical Officials will check: Uniform Race Decal numbers Bib-number Helmet with race number Timing chip check (1 for the ankle) Swim cap check

14 Standard Course Map Overveiw

15 Pre-Start Procedure Move into pre-start zones Approx 20 minutes before start – move into pre-start zones. Ensure timing chip on left ankle. Do not take non-essential equipment into start area including water bottles or clothing. Athletes will be guided into start corals based on waves. Listen for announcements. Look for swim cap color. Once you reach the last coral you will be released to the start pontoon. Once on the pontoon you will be directed into the water and hold onto the pontoon. Starting in an earlier wave  DSQ

16 Start Procedure Athletes in position Once Athletes are in the water. The start can be given any time after the Race Referre announces ”On your mark” Air horn blast. The race starts. Athletes not moving forward at the start will receive a time penalty of 15 seconds in TA1.

17 False Start Procedure False start Example Several horn blasts Kayaks will move in front of swimmer's and direct them back. Everyone goes back to her/his spot Valid start but with early starters If someone starts before the horn and everyone else starts with the horn, the false starter will receive a time penalty of 15 seconds in TA1. (During the time penalty athlete can not touch any equipment!)

19 Swim Course Yesterday - Water temperature: 26.6 °C - Air temperature: 29 °C 1 laps (total distance of 1500m) – clockwise Pass first 6 turn buoys on your Right shoulder Past last turn buoy on your left shoulder Turn Bouys will be Yellow, sighting buoys will be Orange. Swim behavior will be closely monitored, inc. video. Place cap, and goggles into your transition area.

20 Transition Area Traditional Bike racks Must take cap & goggles to your spot in TA Do NOT stop at swim exit or anywhere prior to TA to remove wetsuits Move through to row marked by number & go to your bike Helmet MUST be fastened before un-racking bike Don’t forget to put your bib number at the back. Mandatory before exiting transition area Mount line is green, dismount line red. All used equipment into your box

23 Bike Course Bike course is narrow – please pay attention. Bike Mechanics are stationed at Km 5, 10, 15, 25, 30, 35.

24 Bike Penalty Box The penalty box is for infringements in: Bike e..x.: Drafting, Blocking, etc.e..x.: Drafting, Blocking, etc. Location: At the far turn around on the bike, near the 10 km point, near the 30 km point, and at the last turn on the bike before transition. Technical officials will notify athletes who are drafting that they are subject to a 2 minute penalty with a blue card. The athlete sanctioned has to stop at the next penalty box and must stay there for the 2 minute penalty. It is the athletes responsibility to stop in the penalty box, failing to stop will result in DSQ. A second Blue card  DSQ.

26 Run Course 2 lap (total distance of 5.0 km) Aid stations: –4 per lap –For locations see the map –Sealed water –Discard bags and litter in the Littering Zone (located directly after the Aid Stations) Photo-finish Congestion in finish area: –Go to mixed zone / recovery area

27 Run Penalty Box The penalty box is for infringements in: Run e..x.: Littering, etc. Location: Same position as the second bike penalty box. Information: White board to show race numbers (Athletes need to read the board) Procedure: Stop and Go or time penalty If you don’t stop it will result in DSQ

28 Post-race procedure Doping Control –Photo ID is needed for every athlete to go for testing Team Medical Access –Only team medical will be allowed to enter the medical tent after ITU Medical Delegate’s permission. –Every NF can have 1 team medical accreditation, but for team doctors only! –Team doctors should register with the ITU Medical Delegate (Dr. Humberto Aguilar)

29 Medal Ceremonies Age Group Sprint & Standard Triathlon Awards Ceremony Benito Juarez Main Square 19:30 All the athletes are requested at the Square before the start of the ceremonies. Volunteers will line you up according to the order of finishing. Follow their instructions Dress up - wear your country uniform If an athlete cannot attend the Awards ceremony the Team Manger can pick their awards up after the ceremony.
