3. Along with these Rights comes Responsibilities to Perform competently and effectively in assigned duties in teaching, research and service. Refrain from insisting that students or others adopt any particular point of view as authoritative in a controversy. Along with these Rights comes the Prerogative to Academic Tenure An appointment of indeterminate term to exercise without fear of dismissal or other disciplinary action ensuring academic freedom to conduct research, teaching and service missions
