Internal & External Motivation Internal-energy inside of you pushing you to go after what you want. External- external forces or people causing you to do something.

Convert External Motivation Think of how you can benefit from the task. Determine ways to make the task more relevant to you. Ex. Taking a history class as a math major. Driving a sibling back and forth to school.

Course Names & Credits The prefix tells you the department. The first number tells you the course level (freshman, sophomore, junior, senior). The second number gives you the amount of credits/hours the class is worth. ENGL 2322

Calculating your G.P.A. Each A is worth 4 points Each B is worth 3 points Each C is worth 2 points Each D is worth 1 point Each F is worth 0 points For each course, the number of points earned is multiplied by the number of credit hours carried by the course.

Extroversion/Introversion The way we interact with others and the world around us, how we draw our energy Extroverts- outgoing and love interactions Introverts- spend time alone to think and ponder

Sensing/ Intuition The way we learn and deal with information. Sensing- gather information through their five senses, cherish concrete facts and details. Intuitive- Not detailed oriented, they rely on gut feelings and are usually innovative.

Thinking/ Feeling The way we make decisions. Thinkers-usually logical people, analytical, can easily identify flaws, and can be seen as insensitive. Feeling- make decisions on what they feel is right, value other’s opinions and feelings, tactful, and aim to please others.

Judging/Perceiving The way we live and our overall lifestyle. Judgers are orderly, like structure, are good at goal setting, seldom play before work is complete. Perceivers- Less structured, spontaneous, delay decision making, can become involved in too many things at one time.
