MODULE 3-3, 3-4 (MODELING FUNCTIONS) What is function notation? Writing function rules: write equations from given descriptions and evaluate for a specific value F(x), read as “f of x” Same as y = Examples: A lawyer’s fee is $180 per hour for his services. How much does he charge for 5 hours? The admission fee at a carnival is $9. Each ride costs $1.75. How much does it cost to go to the carnival and then go on 12 rides?

MODULE 3-3, 3-4 (MODELING FUNCTIONS) Choosing a reasonable domain and range: Examples Make sure numbers chosen fit the real world problem. Manuel has already sold $20 worth of tickets to the school play. He has 4 tickets left to sell for 6$ each. Create a table and find a reasonable domain and range for tickets left to sell vs money made. Graph the table.
